A Danish staff member held up his phone as the team crowded around to await the full-time result of the Belgium v ââFinland game.
A 2-0 victory for Belgium confirmed Denmark’s progress to the round of 16, where they face Wales, and sparked new frenzy on the pitch – and lucky spectators on the ground.
What a beautiful evening for Denmark. But more importantly, what a beautiful evening for Christian Eriksen.
